About Mathy

Hi. I’m Gabe Mays and I like to build things.

I made Mathy because I wanted it myself.

I still use Math Academy to learn math (highly recommended), but I wanted a more convenient way to drill math and build automaticity on the go that was less cumbersome than Anki cards.

I’m working on learning more advanced math to support my journey into AI and robotics with limited time each day. Mathy is my attempt to see how much I can raise the ceiling by building automaticity.

The idea is a little counterintuitive: if Mathy works, you should eventually need it less. Because as something becomes automatic, its recommended reviews can move farther apart.
